Once Europe was known as a Christian continent. Now it is called “post-Christian” and has truly been a forgotten mission field for decades. Many areas of Europe have not had meaningful exposure to biblical Christianity for many generations.
Less than 3% of Europeans are evangelical. In France, Greece, Ireland, Italy and Spain the figure is 1% or less. Twenty centuries after the apostle Paul visited Europe, around 500 million people have yet to respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Liberal morality is common place and growing throughout Europe. For example, in The Netherlands the legal system allows for prostitution, drugs, euthanasia, same-sex marriages and abortion.
